Sesame oil(Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil):
used for years as curative natural remedy. Extracted from the sesame seeds, known for containing high concentration of calcium and benefic lipids, it carries out anti-bacterial and anti-viral actions, it is considered effective against some pathogens that could attack the skin and cause fungi. it is a natural anti-inflammatory that can be used as cure and protection of the skin. The sesame oil can be easily absorbed by our body. It is highly stable, for this reason doesn’t occur the risk of riping, it is rich of vitamins such as Vitamin A, Vitain E and Vitamins of the B group (B1, B2, B3). It is rich of mineral salts, such as magnesium, phosphorus and calcium.
Sunflower Seed Oil(Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil):
it has many curative properties that make it a precious ally for the health. It is rich of linoleic and oleic acid, necessary for the production of energy, for the transportation of the oxygen from the air to the blood, for the hemoglobin sintesis, for the prostaglandin function and the correct ormonal balance. The omega 3 acids defend the brain from attention deficit; vitamin K helps coagulating the blood; the high concentration of Vitamin E strengthen the immunitary system, grants the correct muscular functioning and it is essential in order to contrast the skin aging, prevents scars, wrinkles, acne, skin inflammations, eczemas, redness and skin irritations. Sunflower seed oil is known for its nourishing, hydrating and emollient properties.
Ivy(Hedera Helix (Ivy) Extract):
is a plant with many therapeutic, healing and cosmetic properties. Prevents and counteracts cellulite blemishes. It counteracts venous insufficiency: the soothing properties of this plant reduce swelling and varicose veins. It has a detoxifying action: it acts on the parts affected by water retention and swelling. It has decongestantproperties, which help the skin that suffers from stagnations and toxin.
Horse chestnut (Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse chestnut) Fruit Extract):
the extract, obtained by the seeds, comes from a phytocomplex rich of saponins and flavonoids. Escin, a triterpenic saponin, reduces the capillary permeability improving the resistance and the elasticity of the capillary and improving the lymphatic drainage. The Rutin (containing vitamin P) and the Quercetin, which have known properties on the tropism of the capillary endothelium, carry out an anti-cellulite action, draining the edematous intracellular liquids; they also tonify both the capillary walls and the vessel walls.
Sea Oak (Fucus Vesiculosus Extract):
is a seaweed with lipolytic properties. Its extracts contain iodine both in inorganic form and bound to proteins, iodine goes to concentrate in the thyroid, where it is incorporated in the thyroid hormones, which in turn stimulate the basal metabolism inducing the body to eliminate excess fats. It acts as an osmo-hydro regulating agent, helps to improve the vitality and firming of the skin, covers it with a natural protective film and participates in its drainage, helping to eliminate toxins and metabolic waste.
Butcher’s Broom(Ruscus Aculeatus (Butcherbroom) Root Extract):
Ruscus root extract is widely used, both for internal and topical use, for its marked trophic and protective properties at the level of blood vessels. The effects consist in the regulation of vascular tone and stabilization of capillary permeability, resulting in a strong tonic action on the vessel wall, and in a significantly improved peripheral microcirculation. Their beneficial properties of the microcirculation, affected by capillary fragility, are effective in order to improve the appearance of the skin affected by cellulite. The extracts of butcher’s broom are widely used in topical preparations for tired and heavy legs affected by venous insufficiency.
Carnitine:
is an amino acid that the body uses to convert fat into energy. In the cosmetic field, carnitine increases the metabolism of adipocytes present in the dermis, promotes local microcirculation, improves the aesthetic appearance of “orange peel” skin. Its action is expressed by stimulating a greater utilization of fats and therefore favoring a greater metabolism of lipid substrates and consequently their reduction. In various studies this substance has shown a protective action on the endothelium and on the smooth muscles of blood vessels, with a better circulation of the peripheral limbs, this last function makes Carnitine particularly suitable for the cosmetic treatment of cellulite.
Escin:
is a mixture of triterpene saponins extracted from Aesculus hippocastanum. The Escin is considered the main molecule responsible for the vasoprotective effects. It has an anti-edemigenous and anti-exudative action and it has a strong draining and detoxifying effect, useful in cases of accumulation of toxins, it favors the microcirculation and cellular turn-over, it has a vasoprotective and reinforcing action of the vascular connective tissue. It is used in cosmetics mainly in preparations for the treatment of cellulite. In preparations for the legs and feet hygiene is useful to reduce swelling and excessive dilation of the venules, to reduce the sense of fatigue and reactivate the peripheral circulation. Escin increases the vasoconstriction of veins and capillaries, increases the contraction of smooth muscles in the wall of the vessels, increases the resistance and elasticity of capillaries and considerably decreases their permeability and therefore the relative leakage of liquids towards the surrounding tissues. It helps to maintain higher levels of vitamin C, has a strong antioxidant action in the venous vessels, so it provides better protection from free radicals.
Caffeine:
is a purine-based alkaloid, caffeine therefore has lipolytic properties but is also notable for its ability to stimulate drainage and removal of stagnant fluids (anti-edematous function). Caffeine is used in the formulation of cosmetic products for the treatment of cellulite and localized adiposity, its topical use does not imply particular contraindications as transdermal absorption does not reach blood concentrations such as to induce systemic effects.
