Pineapple:
the pineapple extract is obtained from the stem of the Ananas Sativus, it is mainly made by bromelain, a proteolytic enzyme with an anti-edema power which function is to improve the microcirculation. The pineapple extract has a lenitive and anti-redness properties. Regarding the treatment of the cellulite, it favours the drainage of the edematous tissues and improves the capillary permeability.
Horse Chestnut:
the extract, obtained by the seeds, comes from a phytocomplex rich of saponins and flavonoids. Escin, a triterpenic saponin, reduces the capillary permeability improving the resistance and the elasticity of the capillary and improving the lymphatic drainage. The Rutin (containing vitamin P) and the Quercetin, which have known properties on the tropism of the capillary endothelium, carry out an anti-cellulite action, draining the edematous intracellular liquids; they also tonify both the capillary walls and the vessel walls.
Spirulina Seaweed:
the Spirulina, scientific name (Arthrospira platensis) is a edible micro seaweed that grows spontaneously in the salty lakes. Thanks to the high detoxifying, draining and vasodilator properties, the Spirulina is very effective against the cellulite imperfections. Moreover, the presence of Iodine contained inside this seaweed acts on the thyroid improving the metàbolization of the lipids and consequently the fat does not deposit on thighs, legs, hips and gluteus.
Carnitin:
is a carboxylic acid. It is used for the formulation of cosmetic products aimed to firm and slim the body. It carries out a vessel protective and anti-edematous action associated with the lipolytic one, this make the Carnitine an important ingredient for the anti-cellulite products.
Caffein:
is a purine-based alkaloid, caffeine therefore has lipolytic properties but is also notable for its ability to stimulate drainage and removal of stagnant fluids (anti-edematous function). Caffeine is used in the formulation of cosmetic products for the treatment of cellulite and localized adiposity, its topical use does not imply particular contraindications as transdermal absorption does not reach blood concentrations such as to induce systemic effects.
